Monte Malik Chandler, Esq.

Over the last ten years, Monte's practice has been deeply entrenched in Labor Law, School Law, and Real Estate transactions — with a particular interest in Church compliance with the Attorney General's office.

His Labor and Employment practice includes advocating for school districts in Collective Bargaining Agreements, employee grievances, employee discipline, and school board governance. He also advocates on the labor side as Special Counsel to DC 37 — the largest union organization in New York City.

His practice has experienced exponential growth in Real Estate transactions for Churches seeking to sell or develop their land in partnership with major developers in New York. When a Church is approached, Monte's role is protective: identifying predatory terms, navigating Attorney General approval, and — when necessary — litigating through the Appellate Division, where he has prevailed.

Most recently, Monte served as lead counsel in the Hempstead Teachers' Unit Collective Bargaining Agreement settlement — a resolution that ended a 12-year stalemate which had stagnated income for teachers and diminished growth for students.

Before entering private practice, Monte served as a prosecutor for three years at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn.
