Dionne Sinclair, J.D.
Dionne Sinclair has over fifteen years of litigation experience. She is a creative and results-driven leader with a record of favorable dispositions through mediation, arbitration, and trial. She concentrates in complex litigation with an emphasis on commercial, construction, employment, insurance, labor, professional malpractice, premises, products liability, regulatory, toxic tort, and general civil matters.
Ms. Sinclair is a former Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney who served in the Civil Rights, Homicide, and Felony Bureaus. As a Felony Trial Assistant, she prosecuted and investigated criminal and civil rights cases and obtained many convictions. She then joined an international boutique firm, where she was quickly promoted to Senior Associate and led the defense of clients in high-profile matters.
She currently represents school districts in matters involving the Committee on Special Education, reviewing laws to ensure compliance and attending meetings with student advocates to facilitate the best possible outcomes for the district's children.
Ms. Sinclair has conducted training and awareness events for faculty, staff, and students to ensure legal compliance on subjects including state and federal standards. She defends school boards and other public entities in state administrative proceedings and, in her representation of DC 37 members, attends arbitrations and administrative trials on employee discipline, improper practices, and other contractual grievances. She is a certified Title IX Investigator.
